  • Kaziranga National Park (Assam): A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kaziranga is famous for being home to two-thirds of the world's greater one-horned rhinoceroses. This vast expanse of grasslands, wetlands, and forests is also a haven for tigers, elephants, and diverse birdlife, making it a premier wildlife destination.

  • Nameri National Park (Assam): Located at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, Nameri is a serene national park and tiger reserve known for its semi-evergreen and moist deciduous forests. It's an excellent spot for birdwatching (including the rare white-winged wood duck), rafting on the Jia Bharali River, and spotting elephants, leopards, and other wildlife.

  • Shillong (Meghalaya): The capital of Meghalaya, known as the "Scotland of the East," is a charming hill station with a cool climate. It boasts attractions like Umiam Lake, Elephant Falls, Shillong Peak, and a vibrant Police Bazaar, offering a blend of natural beauty and urban culture.

  • Cherrapunji (Meghalaya): Also known as Sohra, Cherrapunji is one of the wettest places on Earth, famous for its dramatic landscapes. It features magnificent waterfalls like Nohkalikai Falls and Seven Sisters Falls, and the unique living root bridges, which are natural wonders created by the local Khasi people.

Itineraries

Day 1

Arrival

Right after receiving you at the airport we will take you straight towards Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park (KNP) is a world heritage site situated in Golaghat district of Assam. KNP is famous for the one horned rhinoceros, which is found nowhere in the world but in Assam. Apart from the rhino, KNP is also home to a wide range of wild animals like deer, stag, Indian bison, Wild boar, leopard, panther, the royal Bengal tiger and many beautiful migratory birds. We will be staying at a hotel in Kaziranga.

Day 2

Kaziranga Sight Seeing

Early in the morning, we will go for the elephant safari of the national park. Here you can visit the park on the back of elephant. You will be taken through the elephant trails and you will get to see the places which are not accessible by foot or jeep. After the elephant safari, we will show you the local places around Kaziranga, like the orchid garden, the ethnic village, the tea gardens etc. You will also get to taste the delicious cuisines of Assam in the meantime. We will then take you for another jeep safari of the park in the afternoon. The stay will be at the same hotel.

Day 3

To Majuli

After breakfast, we will start towards a river island in Brahmaputra called Majuli. Majuli was recently declared the first island district of India. It is the largest river island in the world; the river island is so large that it will be hard for you to believe that you are actually in the middle of a river! If you are interested in meeting the “Forest Man of India” Jadav Payeng, kindly inform us in the morning so that we can arrange on our way there (given that he is available that day). Mr. Payeng is an environmentalist who has created a forest of 1350 acres from a wasteland with his own hands. He was awarded with the civilian honour Padma Shri by the government of India. After reaching Majuli, our stay will be at Majuli.

Day 4

Majuli Sight Seeing

In the morning, we will set out to explore the island. The main attractions of this island are the Vaishnavite culture of Hinduism and its traditions and cultures which are followed by many institutions and monasteries in Majuli and all over Assam, the tribal villages, and most of all the cycle trips around the island. You will be staying at the same place.

Day 5

To Nameri

From Majuli we will take you to Nameri. Nameri national park is situated in foothills of Himalaya and is quite famous for the adventure activities in and around the national park. The main attractions are jungle trekking inside the national park, river rafting and angling in Jia Bhoroli river. The national park is also home to a wide range of animals and birds. The stay will be at a beautiful resort/hotel in Nameri.

Day 6

Nameri Sight Seeing

Next day would be an adventurous day at Nameri national park. First we will take you to jungle trekking of Nameri. After completing trekking, we would then take you to the starting point of river rafting on Jia Bhoroli river. We will then wait for you at the end point. Day 7

To Shillong

From Nameri, you will be taken to the Scotland of the East – Shillong. Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, is a beautiful hill station city surrounded by Khasi hills. It is a very popular destination among the tourists for its Scotland like weather, with the cold breezes and drizzling rains. On the way, we will show you a beautiful lake in the outskirts of Shillong called Umiam Lake. After reaching there, the stay will be at a hotel in Shillong.

Day 8

Shillong Sight Seeing

We will take you out for sightseeing of the city and the places around the city. The prime tourist attractions of Shillong are Shillong Peak, Elephant falls, Golf course, Wards Lake, Lady Hydari Park and Don Bosco Museum. We will complete all the sightseeing by evening. The stay will be at the same hotel.

Day 9

To Cherrapunji

We will head towards Mawlynnong in the morning. It is the cleanest village in Asia. Mawlynnong also has a beautiful living root bridge, which a wonder of nature to check out. The bridge is formed naturally by the roots of trees over a long period of time. We will then go to Dawki, a town nearby Mawlynnong famous for Dawki Bridge and river boating on Umngot river. It is also situated in the border between India and Bangladesh. We will then head towards Cherrapunji to stay there.

Day 10

Cherrapunji Sight Seeing

This day, we will take you out for sightseeing of Cherrapunji – the wettest place on Earth. Cherrapunji witnesses a heavy rainfall throughout the year, for which it is famous in the world. The notable places to see in Cherrapunji are the Seven Sisters falls, Nohkalikai falls, Mawsmai caves etc. Cherrapunji also has a few living root bridges similar to that of Mawlyynong. Apart from that it has also a double-decker living root bridge! The stay will be at the same hotel in Cherrapunji.

Day 11

To Guwahati

Next morning, we will head back to Guwahati to drop you at the airport. After reaching there, if time permits us, then we will take you to a place or two around Guwahati before you leave for the airport. We can show you the Kamakhya temple or the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra or the Umananda or Deepor Beel before dropping you at the airport.
